Katharine Nozar (Katy) spent several years in fundraising at the University of Michigan and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Before joining Healthnetwork, she also worked in various positions supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Katy always felt drawn to helping those in need and to making a difference, and found she was able to do that most effectively through nonprofit fundraising. She loves working at Healthnetwork Foundation because it’s the perfect combination of maintaining an involvement in medical philanthropy and having daily opportunities to help and connect with people on a personal level.
Katy was born in Cleveland and lived on its east side all her life until going to college at Bowling Green State University. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she lived in northwest Ohio/southeast Michigan for 4 years before returning home to be close to family. She lives with her fiancé, dog, and two cats and enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the city, and spoiling her pets.
